How To Build Rapport Before Inviting Prospects Your Network Marketing Presentation
When meeting new people and looking for qualified prospects to invite your to network marketing business presentation such as the one Numis Network provides for their representatives, make sure to ask some questions during the first few moments of your call or meeting. Doing so will help you get positive responses and it is important to understand that people generally only care about what is going to benefit them. So if you can help them solve a problem, they will be much more open and receptive to your message.
Here are a few scripts that you may wish to try out when building rapport with your prospects:
- “Do you keep your options open when it comes to making money in this tough economy?”
- “So, how is the economy effecting your business?” Ask them to elaborate. Then ask, “Would you be open to looking at something else if it made sense?”
- “So, how are things going with your job?” If negative, ask them to elaborate. “If there were a business that you could start doing part time from your home that could eventually replace your full time income, would it be of interest to you?”
- “If there was a way to work from home while the kids are in school, would you be open to learning about it?” If yes, then invite to meet for a personal presentation or give them a tool to review such as an audio CD or DVD that goes over the business or network marketing industry.
When just starting out with your network marketing business, it is a good idea to to invite people who you already know and have an established relationship with. This will help you gain some practice and experience. Your family and friends should be open to at least listen and give you some feedback! If your closest relationships are negative, then find some new relationships!
It is important to always surround yourself with positive people and environments. While criticism is always great, there is a big difference between constructive criticism that helps and just pure negativity that destroys. You’ll learn to recognize the difference quickly if you haven’t already done so!
Here are some great ways to make an invitation to invite folks you know to get together and check out a presentation:
- “Hi. I only have a minute but I wanted to give you a quick call. What’s your schedule look like for later this week? I wanted to get together (over coffee/breakfast/lunch/drinks) and kick something around with you.”
- “Hi. I only have a minute, but I wanted to give you a quick call. I’m working with a small group of some pretty smart local entrepreneurs who are heading up the expansion of an interesting new business. It’s really quite unique. I can invite another talented business person and naturally I thought of you. When can we get together to chat about it later this week?”
- “Hi. I only have a minute but I wanted to give you a quick call. What are you doing Tuesday evening at 7? (night and time)” If they say they have no plans say, “Great I’d like you to make plans with me.” If they say that they have plans, ask them “Is it anything you couldn’t get out of if it was important enough?” After you get their positive response, continue with “The reason is I’ve recently met some local business people that I’m pretty impressed with. We’re engaged in the expansion of an innovative business idea here in the (your city) area. We’re going to be getting together at (location) on (date and time). I’ve always had a lot of respect for you and thought that you might like to join us. Would you like to be included?”
After you have asked a question, always wait for a response and then book a definite time and place to meet. Offer to pick your prospect up and take them with you if you are going to be attending a live meeting whenever possible.
